Business Motion: making visible what we have been doing since 2014

Business Motion is repositioning itself as a communication firm. But this is not a change in what we do. It is a clearer expression of what has been behind our work since 2014.

Business Motion is repositioning itself as a communication firm. But this is not a change in what we do. It is a clearer expression of what has been behind our work since we started in 2014.

For more than a decade, we have created videos, presentations, websites, campaigns, company profiles, reports and other communication instruments for organisations operating in complex environments.

The instrument was never the starting point. The objective was.

01 Communication Roadmap, 02 Communication Instruments, 03 Communication Function

The Objective Comes First

A company may need a presentation. A project may need a video. A bid may need a compelling visual story. A leadership team may need a new website or a stronger company profile. A campaign may be needed to promote an event, launch a product, position a company, support a business objective or reach a specific audience.

But the real question is always:

  • What does this communication need to achieve?
  • Who needs to understand it?
  • What needs to be communicated?
  • What should the audience take away?
  • Where and how will the communication be used?

These questions shape the strategy. The strategy determines the instrument. That thinking has been at the centre of our work since 2014.

From Strategy to Instrument

Our repositioning makes this approach more explicit. Today, we organise our work around three connected areas:

The instrument is therefore not an isolated creative output. It is the result of a communication process.

Why Make This Visible Now?

The communication landscape has changed dramatically. There are more platforms, more formats and more ways to produce content than ever before. AI has made production faster and more accessible. Organisations can create more communication, more quickly.

But producing more does not necessarily mean communicating better. The strategic questions remain:

  • What are we trying to achieve?
  • Who are we communicating with?
  • What do they need to understand?
  • What is the right instrument for the job?

This is where our experience matters. We have been working with technical, institutional and complex organisations since 2014, from humanitarian agencies to industrial companies. The projects have been different, but the principle has remained the same: understand the objective, build the strategy, create the right instrument.

A Communication Firm Since 2014

Business Motion is not moving away from production. We are making the thinking behind production more visible. Our work has never been simply about creating content. It has been about building communication that serves a purpose.

What is complex for others is where we operate best. Today, Business Motion brings that experience together as a communication firm focused on strategy and implementation.

Since 2014, the objective has come first. The instruments followed.
